Etheric Cord Meditation

For the times when you feel weighed down and held back but can’t identify the cause. This is by no means a guarantee though. Some things/people/places/whatever may fall away from your life if they truly do not serve you anymore. If however, there is still a lesson meant to be learnt, look at what remains in your life to see if you can find it.
{Meditation after the break}

Find a position which is comfortable for you, but not so comfortable that you fall asleep! Some find sitting in a chair is good, others sit on the floor with their back against the wall. Still there are those that can lie on the floor.

Close your eyes and concentrate on your breaths. Feel the air move inside you and expand your lungs when you inhale. Notice how your lungs contract to push out the air when you exhale.
After ten breaths (inhale & exhale), feel your toes loosen and relax. Then your legs. Move up your body until you reach your crown.
Once you have fully relaxed, open your minds eye to find yourself in a forest clearing. Leaves and grass rustle in the gentle breeze. You can hear birds shaking out their feathers on limbs high above you.
As you look up at the sky through the treetops, you notice the sky is dimming until it looks like evening.
There is still a glow around you though, and when you look upon yourself, you see dozens of silvery, shimmery cords attached by one end to your body.
Each one represents some sort of bond forged in your lifetime.
Some still serve you and are wanted in your life. Others no longer serve you and feel as heavy as a ball and chain.
Looking down at the grass in front of you, you see a pair of golden scissors. Using these scissors, you use them to cut the cords that you intuitively feel are the ones you no longer need.
As you cut each one, you say;
‘I release you into the Universe as you no longer serve a purpose for my Higher Good.’
As each cord is cut and released, you notice the sky start to lighten a little bit each time. When you are finished, the sky is as bright as it is at midday.
Placing the scissors back on the ground, you give thanks for all the wonderful things in your life, for all the lessons you have learnt. You then announce yourself ready for the next things life will bring you.
Keeping your minds eye open, feel yourself moving back into your body. When you are ready, open your eyes.

Over the next few weeks, take the opportunity to take note of the things/people/places/whatever that you may have expected to fall away from your life but didn’t. Is there perhaps something you still need from it?
